it's rainy season, known as "tsuyu."? wonder why we don't have anything like that in the States.? a cab driver last night asked me if they have "tsuyu" anywhere else and I told him yeah in Asia especially.? I guess the east coast has at least similar weather--with humidity and rain and such--but not technically "tsuyu."? I also taught him "rainy season" (he asked what "tsuyu" was in English). ?come to think of it "tsuyu" means "plum rain" which of course makes no sense (ancient historical roots there).? anyways, it's not like it rains everyday--just generally cloudy and humid.?

been thinking about religion and god since last night.? had a long conversation w/ a good friend about what's really important in life and what's real.? we all get distracted with the rat race, and trying "win" the game, but why?? it seems so bizarre since we're all going to end up 6 feet under regardless.? is it that hard to help people?? is it that hard to care, to reach out?? to try?? it shouldn't be.? why do we all get selfish, greedy?? we have check ourselves and make sure we remember what's important.? to me, personally, it's not about one religion versus another, but understanding what's real and what's not.

damn it's good to eat fish.? that's one thing that's great about japan.? they really know how to do fish.? i had awesome sushi the other night in Tsukiji and tonite visited a local iizakaya near my apartment that specializes in fish.? man, i had so many different kinds of fish--some sashimi, some shio-yaki, some boiled crab, you name it.? and it was damn good.? damn good fish.

hungover...too much jack d...ugh...

but no biggie - it's a monday, that means it can only go uphill (or downhill?)
